Attitude Determines Altitude

As we look around today we constantly bombarded with all the negativity of the world that we live in. The nations economy that tanked, unemployment at it's highest in years, foreclosed homes at a all time high, huge stacks for debt with little or no income. Seems like trouble everywhere we look with a lot of doom & gloom. We do not have to go looking for it, but isn't it amazing how it will find itself knocking at your door? We find ourselves in difficult situations demanding difficult decisions to made that affects our families, sometimes for years to come. I believe there are people out there that are hurting and have been wounded. They have worked and toiled, just to see their world come crashing down.

With all the negativity, don't lose your prospective.

Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Many times our minds can dwell on the negatives that starts to grow and grow which feeds our fear and worry. After awhile, we can feel that it is a hopeless situation with no way out. Can I tell you that you have a choice? Cast aside thoughts of negativity and start looking at the positive side. I am in no way implying that we should bury our head in the sand and pretend that our problems do not exist.The problems that we encounter and experiences are real.

What makes the difference?

By committing ourselves to God and putting our faith in him, God will take care of it. You can stand on the word of God. We must understand the principles of God's word.

1. When it comes to our problems and situations:

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your careupon him; for he careth for you. KJV

John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.KJV

Matt 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.KJV

2. When it come to worry:

Phil 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.KJV

3.Comfort in knowing God is taking care of it:

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. KJV

4. If you feel you problem or situation is unfixable:

Jer 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? KJV

5. If you feel that God will let you down and not be there:

Ps 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. KJV


Personal Experience:

Years ago, when I had three young children, I had a lease vehicle that was totalled in a automobile accident (no injuries thankfully). The insurance company paid for the lease vehicle and the money went to the Leasing Co. (Lesson learned) To make a long story short, I was without a vehicle with a job 40 miles away. It was a time when I was rock bottom financially. What was I going to do? I scraped up 100.00 to buy a Ford Pinto for transportation. I felt that God had sent it to me. I had no other money or means to buy the gas I needed. I remember going out to the car and sitting down in the drivers seat. I began to pray and asked God to meet that need. I noticed on the floorboard between my legs sticking out from under the seat was the edge of a white piece of paper and it caught my attention. I reached down and pulled the piece of paper out. On the back edge of the piece of paper, I found a 100.00 bill balanced on the back edge. It was heaven sent and I strongly feel to this day that God supplied my need. It was a time when I needed answers to a helpless situation. God met my need.

Fear is the opposite of faith. Replace negative words of fear with words of faith. Believe in your heart that you are going to rise above ALL the problems.

The bible says: Prov 23:7For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.

If you want to be defeated or consumed, you can. Or, you make a choice to soar high with the eagles. Your attitude determines you Altitude.

Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
